Zubaida Apa

Zubaida is a well-known cooking expart.She is  famous as “Zubaida Apa”. She was born in India (Hyderabad Dakan) on 4th april 1945.After 3 years of Partition she transferred to Karachi (Pakistan). She lived in PIB Colony with her 4 brothers and 6 sisters.

In 1953, she lost her father.In 1966 Zubaida got married with his cousin named Tariq Hussain. She got marriage at the age of 21th and didn’t know even how to cook.After some trial she cooked food for about 7 people,the entire family members really like her cooked food. Zubaida’s husband worked in the “Lever Brothers Company.”

At the age of 50, she started her career & got fame with great success. In 1996, Zubaida’s husband got retired.At that time she appointed in his office in the Dalda Advisory. She started her job without seeking  help and took care of all with herself. After some time Dalda started a
telephone service where three other people joined Zubaida.

She did round about 90 programs and also a book with her own masala variation include Palau, Daal Masaala,Sabzi, Nihari,Bihari Kabab, Chicken Tandoori etc.Her tips on almost every aspect of life are real famous not only in Pakistan but also in Pakistani/indian community around the glob.

The special thing in Zubaida is,she can make any kind of food after tasting only once,either it is a Pakistani, Indian, Chinese etc. She has the ability to present it amicably. She is nice to everyone & so fast to trust every one.

These days she is popular with her cooking show "handi"spreading her precious knowledge on masala tv at 5:00pm.
